In Echo360 courses that have enabled the Q&A settings, discussions panel is one way to both encourage and monitor student questions, responses, or other relevant posts in the classroom. Since not all instructors use this feature, students should reach out to their instructor to ask whether the instructor plans to monitor and answer these questions.

[Instructors or teaching assistants can delete any questions or responses posted by students if they are inappropriate. Note that deleting questions will also delete any responses posted to the question.]

To participate in classroom questions/discussions

1. Go to the classroom.
2. In the classroom toolbar, click the Discussions icon (shown below) to open the Discussions panel and view posts and responses, pose questions, and respond to questions.
   
3. To add a question, click NEW QUESTION from the top of the panel.
4. To respond to a question, select the question from the panel to expand it, then click RESPOND TO THIS QUESTION and enter your response.
5. To delete a question or response, hover over the item you want to delete to expose the X icon in the top right corner. Click the X to delete the post (students can only delete their own posts).

Note that any changes made in the Discussions panel of the classroom are also reflected in the Q&A tab for the course.
