The Student Portfolio located within VSTAR Next replaces elements of a student’s existing portfolio. The Experiences Summary combines the reporting function of the former student clinical encounter tool, VPEN, with the integrated Student Portfolio in VSTAR Next. The Experience Summary shows the progress you have made with Vital Experience submissions and lists all 100 of the experience items available.
First, navigate to VSTAR Next and locate Student Portfolio on the left navigation menu:
On the dashboard drop-down menu, select Experiences Summary:
The Experiences Summary will list all available experiences and reflect the number of each experience you have already submitted in Vital Experience. In the top right, you will see a progress circle showing how complete your Experience Submissions are. This is the same view as the Experiences Map view inside of Vital Experience Reporting.
Clicking the progress chart icon in the top right will show a breakdown of submissions by specialty:
