How to Clear Your Cache According to Your Browser
Sometimes it is useful or necessary to clear your browser’s cache if you have issues authenticating with one of the VSTAR applications. But remember following these instructions can delete history or cookies you rely upon. So, use these as a guide and proceed with caution.
- Mozilla Firefox. Press [CTRL] + [Shift] + [Delete] on Windows, press [Cmd]+[Shift]+[Delete] on macOS. A pop-up window for “Clear All History” will open up. When asked what time range you wish to clear, choose “Everything.” Check all boxes, then click “Clear”.
- Microsoft Edge. Press [CTRL] + [Shift] + [Delete] on Windows, press [Cmd]+[Shift]+[Delete] on macOS. A pop-up window for “Delete Browsing Data” will open up. When asked what time range you wish to clear, choose “All time.” Check all boxes, then click “Clear Now”.
- Google Chrome. Press [CTRL] + [Shift] + [Delete] on Windows, press [Cmd]+[Shift]+[Delete] on macOS. When the pop-up window for “Delete Browsing Data” opens up, select “Advanced.” When asked for a time range, choose “All Time.” Check all boxes, then click “Delete Data”.
For macOS only:
- Safari 10+. Press [Cmd] + [Alt] + [e]. This will open up your preferences. In the Safari browser, select “Clear History.” From the dropdown list, you will then select “All History,” followed by “Clear History.”
- Note: If you cannot do it this way, you can choose “Preferences” in the Safari browser. In the “Privacy” tab, choose “Manage Website Data.” Then, you will select “Remove All,” followed by “Remove Now.”
